Let’s get this out of the way first: no, a new Hulk standalone/spinoff movie is never transpiring any time in the near future. Your rights are all mucked with Universal and Miracle and creatively it doesn’t seem like a thing Marvel is willing for taking risk on at the moment. But. BUT! Mark Ruffalo has said that you’regarding about to get the next most convenient thing to a Hulk movie inside Hulk’s storyline that will plays out around Thor: Ragnarok and the two-part Avengers: Infinity War finale.
Ruffalo, Oscar nominee intended for his performance within Spotlight, spoke to Google! Movies and declared that Hulk fans have a ton to look forward to.
We have worked a really interesting arc in to Thor 3, Avengers 3 and 4 for Banner ad that I think can – when it’s many added up – can feel like a Hulk flick, a standalone movie.
There have been whispers that the long-rumored World Hulk movie may be happening in Thor: Ragnarok. Essentially, Thor matches up with Hulk on a gladiatorial globe where he’s been fighting since the end of Age of Ultron. Due to the fact he’s in space, Hulk has never reverted back to Banner as well as the two sides are starting to become closer alongside one another (and presumably Hulk may verbalize and speak much more eloquently). This could set things up effectively for Hulk to return to Earth just when the Avengers need him most when he can finally manage the uncontrollable.
So, Okay, Hulk isn’t going to get their own movie, but a newbie editor could join all the footage out there movies together and earn one pretty badass Hulk flick. And frankly, Thor: Ragnarok might be a Thor movie with Hulk from it, but it also sounds like it may very well just be a Hulk movie with Thor by it.
Thor: Ragnarok opens in playhouses on November 5, 2017.
