Last summer we found out that Joe Carnahan (The Grey, The A-Team) was serious about directing Bad Boys 3, that Sony has scheduled for a 2017 release. This individual was never officially established for the job, but these fresh pre-visualization images he discussed on Twitter are the confirmation you will need that Carnahan is behind the wheel on the long-developing sequel.
While Erika Bay remains passionate with the Transformers franchise, Carnahan has gotten over Bad Boys, working coming from a script by Safe House writer David Guggenheim. Carnahan shared a couple of pre-vis images to Facebook, featuring a motorcycle series and an explosion, as well as basically offering the 1st official confirmation of his involvement:
Bad Boys 3 has been in advancement for years, with Can Smith and Martin Lawrence the two game to return for that sequel. More recently, Jones appeared on BBC One particular (via The Verge), exactly where he revealed that he’s recently met using Lawrence to discuss the sequel and they’re equally “definitely” doing it:
I saw Martin a couple weeks ago. I haven’testosterone levels seen him for around two years. We just looked at each other. We hugged. In that moment, we believed we were making another ‘Bad Boys.’ We’re definitely doing another.
It’s unclear whenever filming will begin, while Smith just packaged Suicide Squad and is heading into manufacturing on Collateral Beauty, which is arranged to hit theaters afterwards this year. Sony received originally scheduled a 2017 release for Bad Males 3, but it seems like in which date may get pressed back (again).
