Production has officially initiated on Guardians of the Universe Vol. 2 in Atlanta, as well as James Gunn has shared a new set photograph to kick issues off. That image features a new company logo for the upcoming follow up, which doesn’t struck theaters until next season. And while we’ve been recently very patiently waiting for casting announcements, Gunn makes certain fans that we’ll get the full information next week.
The new Guardians on the Galaxy Vol. 2 logo appears on one of the group chairs, as found in this photo Gunn distributed to Facebook:
To quote the great poet David Coverdale, I Go Again.

The logo incorporates a sort of late ’80s vibe with that Vol. 2 range. In addition, Gunn participated in an active Q&A on Facebook yesterday, where he explained that a full illuminating announcement for the follow up should be arriving a few weeks. So far, we know in which Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan and Michael Rooker are returning to reprise their particular roles, with Oldboy star Pom Klementieff cast in a unknown role (which numerous have speculated to get Mantis).
Kurt Russell has been in talks to enjoy Star-Lord’s father, although actor has to be confirmed, as gets the film’s villain or some other new supporting heroes. Here’s who we won’t see within Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: Thanos. Gunn has repeatedly confirmed that the galactic villain will be a little bit too occupied chasing after Infinity Stones to appear in this particular film.
Guardians of the Environment Vol. 2 hits theaters about May 5, 2017.
