A few months ago, Bryan Singer revealed some idea art from X-Men: Apocalypse, which in turn featured Angel in a parrot cage with his glorious wings fully expanded. The modern set photo from your film shows Vocalist filming this routine with Ben Healthy, and shines some other light on the wording of the scene, that has something to do with a fight pub.
Singer posted the following photo on Instagram, featuring Robust in a cage, yelling, while on the other keep an eye on we see an announcer of some sort. In the background, you can observe spectators cheering:
#eastberlin #1982 #fightclub #benhardy #angel #xmen #xmenapocalypse
The caption offers that scene takes place inside East Berlin in 1982 — the new sequel centers on the younger mutant forged in the ‘80s, because they face off with his or her fiercest, most earth-shattering foe yet: Oscar Isaac’s titular bad guy, Apocalypse.
It looks as though we’ll see Hardy’s Angel (sometimes referred to as Warren Worthington III) transform directly into Archangel, and as Isaac previously unveiled during Comic-Con, he’ll be one of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen — alongside Olivia Munn’s Psylocke, Alexandra Shipp’s Storm and Erika Fassbender’s Magneto.
Previous photos in the set have taunted Storm’s origin account in Cairo, as well as a brand new sequence involving Evan Peters’ Quicksilver.
X-Men: Apocalypse features returning cast associates Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, and Rose Byrne (reprising her role from X-Men: First Class), in addition to new cast members Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner and Lana Condor. The picture hits theaters upon May 27, 2016.
