Mark Millars Nemesis Lands with Warner Bros., Joe Carnahan to Immediate

Mark Millar’s stylish along with violent graphic books have proven to be ripe supply material for movie adaptations, from Kick-Ass to be able to Kingsman: The Secret Service, but there’s one project that’utes had a tougher period getting off the ground. Enemy was initially set up in 20th Century Fox together with Tony Scott attached to primary, but following the director’s untimely death, the home and property entered development limbo — until now.

The Tracking Board stories that Warner Bros. now has your rights to Nemesis, using a screenplay from May well Carnahan and his brother, Matthew Erina Carnahan. Joe Carnahan, best known since the director of The A-Team in addition to The Grey, will also helm the Nemesis variation based on Millar’s ebook, originally published last year.

Nemesis is told from your perspective of a super-villain, beginning to avenge the demise of his moms and dads, who were also well-known villains. The story centers on millionaire genius Matt Anderson, which travels the world in his revenge-mission, killing police officers and fighting the government. Anderson’s goal takes him for the police chief to be able to captured his mother and father and escalates to a incredibly violent conclusion.

Obviously that sounds like a Millar story, along with it’s a little peculiar that it’s battled to make it to the giant screen for this long while so many of the author’s projects are already optioned and adapted. Nonetheless it looks as though we’ll see Nemesis fairly rapidly, with an interesting composing / directing group at the wheel.
