Last night we got a short update from Chad Miller on 23 Jump Street, with the writer director revealing that he and partner Phil Head of the family will produce yet not direct the follow up. Lord and Cooper are currently busy with just a few other major initiatives, including the young Han Single Star Wars film and an computer animated Spider-Man movie for Samsung. Although he initially didn’t provide improvements on either of people projects, Miller experienced a few things to declare later on following their appearance at The Previous Man on Earth TCA section.
Speaking with IGN, Miller surely could talk a little bit regarding both projects, even though he obviously couldn’to go into great detail. Both the young Han Solitary movie and the Spider-Man lively film will reach theaters in 2018, and also Miller first discussed of the understandable stresses of the former:
It’azines a huge pressure. We always try and find something that’s gonna… give fire to our waistlines and do a excellent job. And this seems like there’s a lot of pressure never to screw this upwards. So we’ve absolutely got that inspiration and then the rest of to expect trying to give people a fresh experience that will doesn’t feel like you’re just trying to examine off some listing of beats which you’re expecting and make something that feels brand new and exciting for anyone, but at the same time remembering what was so great about this character.
Miller went on to call Han Solo “one of the best personas ever created” and referred to him as “morally ambiguous.” The writer Per director — like most fans — has loved the since his childhood, making it clear that Lord and Burns weren’t simply chosen for their popularity and skill to take middling thoughts and turn them in pure gold.
An acting professional has not yet also been cast to show young Han Solo, so we likely won’t find out anything on that front side until sometime next year.
As for the animated Spider-Man project, Miller had much less to say, though he / she did assure fans that we’re failing to get enough yet another origin account:
I will say, it is not only another Peter Parker origins story that you’ng seen 400 instances. It is something fully unique and different but not like anything you’ng seen. That’s most I can say… and you’lso are going to love it!
Recently, Spider-Man restart writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein promised how the new live-action film won’capital t deliver another beginning story, either. Consequently that’s two new Spider-Man projects that won’big t retell the story of how John p Parker took up the web-slinging figure.
The young Han Solo standalone movie hits movie theaters on May Twenty five, 2018, while the animated Spider-Man movie will follow on This summer 20, 2018.
