New Batman Trilogy Reportedly in the Works, Ben Affleck Could Play Batman Once and for all

During Comic-Con we heard in which Ben Affleck is set to help direct and movie star in his own Batman solo film, which usually he’ll co-write with DC Comics Chief Innovative Officer Geoff Johns. Whilst Johns himself offered up some hints regarding their screenplay plans, Warner Bros. provides yet to confirm the actual solo Batman movie. Over the weekend, we found that WB has pushed again Affleck’s next a couple of films, and it was speculated that the proceed was designed in part consequently he could work about being Batman. The latest rumor definitely facilitates that theory.

According to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for the film’ohydrates crew and executives, and the screening travelled over so well that does not only did it be handed a standing ovation, it influenced WB to start locking Film clip down for the potential future. Per an “expert,” WB is “working their particular movie universe all-around Ben’s Batman.”

Affleck has brought a great working romance with WB — they’ve sent out his past directorial endeavours, including The Town and Argo, and are behind his two upcoming films: the actual Gavin O’Connor-directed The Accountant, and the Affleck-directed Live by Night. The studio has now postponed the release of those shows, but the former has been pushed back to a far more awards-friendly release, and the latter delayed to allow Affleck the proper amount of time to commit.

The actor is also agreed upon on to appear in the Justice League films, which will hit theaters in 2017 along with 2019, and word is actually WB wants to squeeze a new Batman solo video in for 2018. If WB uses a trilogy, we could get new Batman films every few years after, throughout 2020 and 2022 — thinking that far ahead is actually nuts.

(Very believeable) gossip aside, we very likely won’t get affirmation from WB on their new Batman plans until eventually Batman v Superman hits movie theaters on March Twenty-five, 2016.
